The "Holy Grail" of cheese, Mont' d'Or is a short season cheese only available in the winter months. It is a smooth, soft, fragrant cheese, wrapped in a spruce band that protects the cheese. At its perfect ripeness you can eat it at room temperature, or pp it in the oven with a splash of wine and a bit of garlic.
It can be reheated, so don't worry if you don't finish it all in one sitting! That's if you can stop yourself from eating it all in one sitting.
